HÖVDING TERMS OF PURCHASE

General

Before you place your order, we, Hövding Sverige AB, assume that you have read the information under ‘HOW HÖVDING WORKS’. When you place your order, a contract of sale is made when you decide to confirm your purchase at checkout. An automated order confirmation will then be sent to the email address you entered for the purchase. Products ordered remain Hövding’s property until they have been paid for in full.

Your order will be sent from our central warehouse in Borås. Changes and additions must be made before your order is processed and dispatched by us. If you find any errors in your order, it is therefore important that you immediately contact us to change the order, if that is still possible.

Where an item is out of stock or the maximum quantity per customer has been exceeded or in the event of technical errors, we reserve the right to cancel your purchase and refund the amount paid.

Prices

Our prices may be changed without notice on account of circumstances beyond our control, for example significant changes in raw material prices, exchange rate fluctuations or changes in VAT. All prices include VAT at 25% within the EU. If the rate of VAT changes, we reserve the right to adjust our prices accordingly.

Uncollected parcels/shipments

For uncollected parcels, Hövding reserves the right to charge the customer SEK 250 for the costs of return shipping, service and handling.

Sales and offers

All sales and special offers are subject to special terms. These terms are indicated in connection with the sale or offer. Sales and other special offers apply only while stocks last, unless stated otherwise in connection with the offer.

Payment

Payment is by payment card via DIBS or PayPal. In the event of returns, refunds are made via the means of payment used for the order. We accept Visa and Mastercard.

No card details are stored by us. They are saved by the partner via which you choose to pay. Payments processed by DIBS and PayPal are PCI-DSS certified and therefore meet all security requirements for bank and credit card transactions.

Deliveries outside Sweden

We send orders to Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Austria, Finland and The Netherlands. If you live in Switzerland, please email the distributor in your country.

Minors

Minors (under 18) require the consent of their parent or guardian to order goods from our webshop. Please note, however, that Hövding is not approved to be used by anyone under 15. We reserve the right to cancel purchases made by minors (under 18).

Liability

We do not accept any liability if the product you purchased is not used as directed. In this respect, we refer to the contents of the user manual supplied when you purchase any of our products. Before you start to use the product, you have purchased, you should therefore read the user manual carefully.

Force majeure

Events that are beyond our control and prevent, impede or delay delivery or the performance in question are deemed to be force majeure, which means that Hövding Sverige AB is discharged from its obligations to perform contracts made.

Circumstances beyond our control include regulations, measures or omissions by public authorities, new or amended legislation, labour market conflict, blockade, fire, flood, sabotage or major accident. They also include public authority decisions that have a negative impact on markets and products, for example decisions about warning labels, sales bans, etc. or an abnormal decline in the market.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you always have 14 days in which to exercise your right of withdrawal under the Swedish Act on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises (2005:59). You are entitled to cancel your purchase if the product you purchased from us does not meet your expectations. No transaction is concluded until you have received and accepted your order. You must be entirely satisfied. Otherwise, you get your money back. Extended right of withdrawal for Christmas gifts, until January 31st 2021.

As a customer, you are, of course, entitled to try the product at home, to ensure that it meets your expectations. If you return a product unused, with all its manuals, parts and packaging, within 14 days, the full purchase price will be refunded, or the product can be exchanged. The return must be sent in the packaging in which it was delivered or equivalent packaging (outer packaging). If the quality of the product has been affected by you having handled the product more than is necessary to test its features or functions, a deduction will be made from the refund corresponding to the reduction in value of the product. The product must be returned within 14 days of you having given notice that you are exercising your right of withdrawal.

When you exercise your right of withdrawal as described above, you will receive a refund from us within 14 days after we have received the product. When you return a product, you must enclose a receipt or other documentation that the product was purchased from us.

For returns, please contact us via the order confirmation you received by email. We will then send you a prepaid return label. Hövding is unable to refund the cost of return shipping in arrears.

Right of exchange

You are entitled to exchange your product for an equivalent product within 14 days after receipt of the product (the right of exchange does not apply to sale goods). For an exchange to be approved, the product must be returned unmodified and unused in its original packaging with all manuals and accessories.

The return must be sent in the packaging in which it was delivered or equivalent packaging. When goods are exchanged, we pay the cost of the return shipping. Remember that you bear the risk if the product is damaged when it is returned to us.

For returns, please contact us via the order confirmation you received by email. Return freight is arranged and paid for by the customer.

Extended warranty for inflation without a cycle accident

  • 2 years from the purchase date
  • Always keep your original receipt as you need to present proof of purchase to claim the warranty
  • Applies if your Hövding was inflated without a cycle accident being involved, provided that you have used the product correctly (see user manual)
  • Hövding reserves the right to replace your product with a new one or to refund your purchase
  • You must keep your Hövding until the matter is deemed closed by Hövding. This is to make it possible to inspect the product, where necessary
Please note that the above does not apply to products purchased second hand.

Complaints

The right of complaint is governed by the Swedish Consumer Purchase Act, which gives you the right to complain about a product within a specific period of time. The complaint period that applies to your purchase depends on the rules applicable in the country from which you place your order. However, the complaint period may never exceed two years. If you order your product from Sweden, your right to complain lapses two years after the date on which you received the product. The right to complain is associated with the original purchaser and not the product. A complaint must be made as soon as possible after you discover a defect. A reasonable time is given as two months.

For us to accept a complaint, the product must have been used correctly according to the user manual, and the product must not be defective as a result of your handling of it. A receipt or other documentation of where and when you purchased the product and the price is required when you make a complaint. If you made your purchase at hovding.com, no receipt is required. In that case, you attach the order confirmation you received in connection with the purchase to the complaint form.

A complaint is always made at the place of purchase, i.e. the company with which you, the consumer, have a contract. Please bring the product and receipt with you.

In order to make a complaint about a product purchased from Hövding's webshop, please complete our complaint form here.

Return liability

When you exercise your right of withdrawal, complaint or exchange, you are liable for the goods returned during shipment and are therefore liable for damages to us for goods you return if they are damaged or lost during shipment. As you are liable for goods returned until they have reached our warehouse, we recommend that you make a note of the parcel tracking number.

Delivery

Delivery normally takes 3-5 working days (prolonged delivery time may be communicated in the webshop due to high demand in the weshop) . In the event of any delay in delivery, you are entitled to cancel the purchase at no charge to you unless you accept the new delivery time proposed. Payment made by you will then be refunded within 30 days after we have received your notice of cancellation. Deliveries to private individuals are sent by home delivery. When your order is dispatched from Hövding’s warehouse, you will get notice of expected delivery time. In the unlikely event that you have not received your delivery within five working days, please contact customer service by replying to your order confirmation.

Advice and delivery will be according to the carrier’s terms and conditions.

As our customer, you are liable for the name and address details you provide in connection with a purchase being correct. If a customer wishes to change the address or recipient after a shipment has left our warehouse, we reserve the right to charge the customer the cost charged by the carrier for this service (SEK 250 as at 1 January 2019). If a parcel is not collected, we reserve the right to charge the customer for costs associated with the shipment (see ‘Uncollected parcels/shipments’).

Shipping

Orders placed with Hövding are sent within EU with FedEx/TNT. If a product is damaged or lost during shipping to a customer, Hövding is liable for payment. However, you must notify our customer service within a reasonable period of time (two months).

On receipt of a shipment, it is important to check that the goods are not damaged. Visible damage should be reported immediately to the person from whom you collect the goods in order to obtain their signature certifying that the damage occurred during shipping. Remember to retain all packaging in the event of damage during shipping.

Then report the damage to our customer service via the order confirmation you received in connection with the purchase, with the signature of the person from whom you collected the parcel, so that we can give you the best possible assistance with your complaint. You should report this to Hövding on the delivery date and no later than 3 days after the parcel has been collected. Hidden damage must be reported to us within five (5) working days of delivery. It is therefore important that you unpack and inspect your products carefully straight after delivery.
